  We welcomed in the new year at Echo Bluff State Park - stayed in both the lodge (1 night) and a 2 bedroom cabin (2 nights). We had a very nice time. The lodge and cabins were clean and comfortable. We ate all of our meals at the Creekside Grill - surprisingly good. All of the wait staff (a special shoutout to our very favorite, Haylee) were professional and attentive. The only disappointment was the lack of a New Year's Eve celebration. This is their first year - we are sure that the kinks will be worked out before next year!

  If you like basic camping, you have got to try it here! The walk-in camps were beautiful! There was a bathroom close by and they provided 2-wheeled rugged handcarts so that you could easily move your items to and from your car. The lodge is beautiful! They have a nice little general store with souvenirs and last minute items for forgotten or incidentals. If you are a mountain biker, they have a new trail with some great technical features! We saw LOTS or dogs and kids, very family friendly.

  We hiked trails at Echo Bluff State park and while the trails themselves are not extremely notable compared to some others in the state, the wild horses of Shannon County are a great site to see. We saw them on the banks of the river.
